It’s very important to use consistent coding when classifying objects and structures of industrial assets. Especially in large organizations, engineering teams tend to come up with their own ways of classifying structures. Although this might work within one team, it often leads to ambiguity and makes external communication hard and tedious.
The Schema feature allows users to setup a common dictionary for creating designation structures to ensure that standard codes are used across the entire organization.

It follows ISO 81346-10 – A commonly used  international standard that describes commonly used codes for different types of mechanical objects.
With a high degree of flexibility this feature will enable the user to comply with the evolution of industry standards for asset structuring as well as organizational changes.
